Not everyone likes their worship music with a full band so this neWseries from the prolific Vineyard praise factory offers "simple acoustic arrangements of Vineyard classics". To my mind Brian Doerksen has always been one of the most anointed and sensitive of worship leaders while his "Faithful One" (originally heard on 'Holiness Unto The Lord' in the Touching The Father's Heart' series) is one of the most beautiful worship choruses ever written. So it was pleasing to get a new version here. In fact, there were only two other Doerksen compositions, "Father I Want You To Hold Me" from 1989 and "Light The Fire Again" - we could have done with more - but there are some beauties here including John Wimber's "Isn't He" and Jude Del Hierro's "More Love More Power". The anointing is powerful on the slower songs and I have to say I was touched by this album.
