Usually, I can find some redeeming features in an album, however bad I feel it is. This time round, I'm floundering. Hmmm, where do I start? Well, in addition to writing and singing all the tracks on this album, Bro Chucks Paul Nwosu is also the director of Be Sober Gospel Music - the label responsible for releasing it. So he should score some points for being extremely busy, because he certainly isn't going to get any from me for either his songwriting craft or his musicianship. The cheap-sounding keyboard (Casio, maybe?) accompanying Chucks on every track makes him sound like an African version of John Shuttleworth. The song lyrics are simplistic and trite - and, like the accompanying bio, full of grammatical mistakes. I'm all for independent artists going it alone, but albums like this prove that having total artistic control over your recordings isn't always a good thing.
