This is a debut from multi talented Chicagoan Brooke with the singer/songwriter playing piano and guitar. Having also tried out for American Idol with her sister as a duo which she found had good and bad experiences, Brooke has decided to go solo. Production comes from Aaron Sprinkle (Kutless, Jeremy Camp) and musically Brooke cites Camp as an influence. She has also toured with Pillar and is embarking on a tour with BarlowGirl. Brooke is involved in youth ministry and this is reflected in her lyrics which young people need to hear, reflecting struggles that she herself has faced and also deals with in her ministry. She says herself that music is like a diary that interprets her faith. Her lead single "Farewell" came out of an experience where she had met a girl who had stopped going to church as she had an abortion. Brooke shared with her about God's forgiveness and this song is the result. A well above average debut from a talented artist.
