This is a good video to go out and buy if you need some encouragement or you want to know a little more about one of America's most popular gospel choirs. Indeed, the video itself does manage to capture some majestic moments that were recorded from a live set although I have to say that I did find some of the songs a bit tiresome for my taste. However, what really encouraged me to stay glued to the screen were the testimonies by some of the choir's members that contributed to tell a fascinating story. From down and out junkies to high class fashion models, the testimonies lifted me when the singing didn't. If there was a song that did pull at the heart strings when it mattered, then it would have to be their finale that includes a brief rendition of Handel's 'Messiah'.
