This is jangly pop rock reminiscent of classic Crowded House so it's big on melody and harmony and strong on songwriting. Brother Henry are built around the music talents of Ned and David Henry who as jobbing musicians around the Nashville scene have played and toured with a variety of mainstream and Christian artists. Ned and David are also identical twins which means they line up like a better looking Proclaimers and make louder music. From the electric riff and fun lyrics of "You Got Your Man" to the strong bass groove of "Your Heart Needs Love" and the more straight forward power pop of "Give It Up", it appears that Brother Henry have plenty of versatility to keep things interesting. The mixture of rock, pop, Americana and a little soulfulness thrown in is a compelling blend. Even the cover version of Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams" works. Aimed fully at the mainstream, there is no good reason why this talented bunch can't become household names!
