Bryan Brown, a worship leader at his home church in Columbia, Missouri, wrote and, along with brother Chris, played all the songs on this eight-strong collection. The musicianship is excellent with influences such as Matt Redman and Jars Of Clay. The tracks open with acoustic guitar and then depart in different directions. The opener "One I Love", leads into an up-tempo, infectious chorus, while "Sing" builds into a finely crafted pop song. Lyrically, the songs proclaim our need for - and reliance upon - God. "Your Ways" leads us into worship with the lyric, "You're all I need when everything around me falls." On "With The Angels" Bryan cuts loose with a lively drum beat while "Satisfied" is stripped down to just acoustic guitar and vocal. Each song allows Bryan's strong voice to come to the fore. Originally self-released this CD deserves its wider audience.
