This is Buddy Miller's second release in 1995 and is already drawing a lot of attention. It is great country music with the added flavour of Buddy's distinctive guitar sound which has added so much character to the sound of his wife Julie Miller's albums. Most of the songs are co-written with Julie, though there are a couple of covers. One is "Hold On My Love" which features Emmylou Harris singing with Buddy. He has another version of the great song "How I Got To Memphis", this is a more raw, gutsy version than that on his previous album 'Man On The Moon'. Also repeated from 'Man On The Moon' is "My Love Will Follow You". Both of these songs well deserve repeating. I recognised something very familiar in the song "Don't Listen To The Wind", then realised that it is the same tune (though different arrangement) as Julie Miller's song "All My Tears (Be Washed Away)" but with different words. Though a great song, it is very difficult to get used to listening to different lyrics. The excellent song "I Can't Slow Down" is more rock than country and makes use of a bass lead giving it a distinctive sound. 13 tracks of great music packed into 41 minutes.
