Despite a decidedly cheesy "live" intro, this is a great intro to the Essex R&B gospel team. Andrew Small (Massive Attack, Kylie Minogue) concocts a tasty groove on "All I Need" over which the switched leads of CL6 effortlessly take up the challenge, while "Washing Over" with its sinuous mid-tempo vibe and best of all "Wonderful", driven by a funky rhythm guitar, show off all the guys' dazzlingly intricate harmony work. With the right song these guys could be HUGE. Get in on the ground floor and search out 'The Maxi' while awaiting the album.
