Caleb's second album is a Christmas project. It opens with a big band styled version of "Let It Snow" which works well. While the big band style doesn't really re-appear until the last track, "Silent Night" (which has to be more of the most original arrangements I've come across), there is enough of interest throughout to convince me that this album is rather good! "Joy To The World" is given a wonderful, laid-back jazz arrangement - Caleb pulls the tune around enough to make it convincing but doesn't lose the essence of the melody. "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" sounds like a James Bond film soundtrack (I kid you not!) but it works really well and features Caleb himself on the accordion. There the obligatory slushy ballads in the middle section which don't grab me as much and stop this being an out and out winner. But it's certainly a Christmas album a notch above many of the record company Yuletide releases.

I actually hear Caleb in Concert at POA in Alexandria last year. After hearing the music that he played and the singing which seemed effortlessly, I had to purchase his CD. I can't tell you how often I have listened to it. I also purchased the "Classics" album and have enjoyed it so much! I have purchased other copies of it as well and given as gifts! Caleb truly has a gift! Hopefully there will be more to follow!
