It would be easy to be snobby about an album made for people who probably seldom buy albums and whose raison d'etre is to cash in on a residue of fame from some musical pursuit. But at least Cannon and Ball sing reasonably in tune (unlike many of the shoal of comedians, actors, TV personalities and sporting personalities who've recorded albums in the past). Production by Paul Graham and Tony Morley is adequate and what is most off putting to readers of this mag contemplating a purchase for mum is too many 'secular' Christmas songs (though the poppy title song is rather catchy) and too few Christian ones. Still, the lads turn in a surprisingly attractive version of "Mary's Boy Child".
