Captain Alan And The Captain's Crew - Now Is The Time

Seventh offering from the Captain, demonstrating that God is fun, fantastic and should be celebrated by kids of all ages. Super star, Timothy Tortoise, struggles a bit, but this alter ego Alan Price - aka, Captain Alan - is definitely in the right ministry, proves that something good can come out of Derby, and is rightly grateful for this Bruce Pont production. I suppose the nature of the thang means it's inevitably Ishmael/Roger Jones in terms of presentation, but Phil Eley's arrangements are beautifully clean and imaginative, in spite of the predictably Play Away melody lines. Excellent musicianship, snappy design and the - now expected - comprehensive package of backing-only CD and lyrics all thrown in. Wondering how to present Jesus to your kids of a holiday time?
