Casey J, the Atlanta-based worship leader, is one of the first artists to benefit from the team-up of Integrity Music and Tyscot Records to promote African-American worship leaders to a wider audience. The joy and enthusiasm communicated on this live set comes over in bucket loads with an exuberant edge that only a tight gospel band and choir can bring. They let rip into a straight gospel romp with "Creation Testifies" and then, showing that the production team are daring enough to bring in a country/bluegrass element, "Grace Wouldn't Leave Me" and the banjo-led "Resting Place". Elsewhere, urbanites are treated to pumping electro beats on "Everything I Do" and finally there's a powerful gospel ballad, "Adopted". For those longing to see white modern worship and black gospel worship break free of its increasingly stereotypical approaches, this is truly a groundbreaking project.
