Everybody has to start somewhere! I remember some of the early recordings that I was involved with, and I just can't listen to them now. In a year or two I am sure that this is how Catch will feel about this CD. Recording and being in a band should be enjoyable, but that feeling does not come through on listening to 'Promise'. The musicians are perfectly adequate, but apart from Rowena Steady's vocals I get the feeling that the other lead vocals were terrified of being in a recording studio. In the right band, and with the right songs, Rowena Steady could do well, but I'm afraid it will not happen with Catch. 'Promise' is a good memento for the people involved, but not for a wider audience.

Bless you Ian, Catch is no longer in existance but Row and I appreciate your comments! We have linked up with some local musicians who are anything but nervous so we are looking forward to where the Lord leads us! Come and find us at www.myspace.com/nigelrowena and we'll catch up properly!

I feel the remarks made are a little harsh. I think any new band going into the recording studio, perhaps for the 1st time, are nervous: I know I was when my wife and I recorded, 'Planting the Seed', with Rowena Steady! Give these guys a chance and I feel sure the nerves will go in time.
