A four-track EP from Oxford-based Caution Horses (great name eh?) who played together for about a year before splitting up earlier this year. This posthumous release highlights their rootsy indie pop which glistens with catchy tunes and jangling guitar sounds. Acoustic-driven but with enough edge to keep the whole thing interesting, "One In A Million" is a fine song and my favourite track here with its lilting memorable melody, edgier vibe and uplifting lyrics. On the strength of this it's a shame that Caution Horses headed for the Christian band knackers yard before I ever got the chance to hear them. Worth checking this out while stocks of the CD last.
