Cedarmont have been knocking out these albums for a while now - 'Bible Songs', 'Action Bible Songs', 'Silly Songs' and a host of others. This 3CD box set is a compilation drawn from eight of the Cedarmont Kids Classics and Gospel titles and probably includes every kids' song you've ever heard, with a few extra thrown in for good measure. It's the standard mix of jolly tunes performed with a kids' choir singing mechanically along over pretty dull accompaniments. Of the 100 songs there are seven which could really be classed as biblical, with the others ranging from "The Wheels On The Bus" to "America The Beautiful" (a best-loved children's song?). It's very American in its sound, its selection of songs ("Yankee Doodle", "America", "Battle Hymn Of The Republic", etc) and its packaging. Unless you really don't have any other children's music on CD and you just love formulaic production and good ol' American values, this certainly isn't the package for you.
