I have this marketing idea to run past the record company. Rather than trying to do the standard push to the holiday punters with these 17 truly predictable carols ("Oh Little Town Of Bethlehem", "Silent Night", "O Come All Ye Faithful", "Away In A Manger") sung by a shrill kids chorus to cheesy, cheap sounding accompaniments, they try selling it another way. My suggestion is to market 'Gospel Christmas Songs' as a... wait for it... Christian Punishment Album. It could be bought to give to all naughty children who don't deserve Game Boys or bicycles! Talking aside, this seemingly never-ending series of albums now offers this banal set of Christmas songs that would spoil the Christmas of any kid I know.
