The always-reliable Dave Bankhead in charge of production and with some choice UK musos (lona's Martin Neal and Troy Donockley) means that the standard of musicianship is never going to flag. And indeed there are one or two delightful moments as bodhrans pound, uillean pipes glide and keyboard beds sweep plaintively through the chords. But the whole concept: get a bunch of contemporary praise choruses (in this case Matt Redman's "I Will Offer Up My Life", David Ruis' "Mercy Is Falling", Graham Kendrick's "See Your Saviour Comes" and 12 others) and give them the Celtic treatment now seems like the kind of tired formula dreamed up by unimaginative marketing men intent on getting milk from the Celtic cash cow rather than a concept capturing the relevance of Celtic spirituality for today's Church. There are many far better Celtic albums than this one out there.
