A 1995 release from a Norwegian rock band and I must say that I was fully expecting a dose of Leviticus revisited here (a great band in their day, but that was then and this is now). Serves me right for harbouring preconceptions. What I got instead was a very polished and well produced set of power rock songs something in the vein of Trevor Rabin era Yes. Solid, driving numbers with excellent musicianship, punctuated with the occasional mellower composition like "Invisible Tear" with its moody sax solo. "Got To Believe" and "No Condemnation" are some of the album's finest cuts but the flagship piece is certainly the closing eight minute rock anthem "You Got" on which both the keyboard player Einar Birkeland and guitarist Frank Myklestad are given the opportunity to shine with lengthy solos over a powerful rhythm arrangement. Although its billed as a demo, great harmonies, top musicianship and smooth production make 'Unwrap' a rival for many bigger budget albums.
