One hour 33 minutes of gentle country/folk in the amiable company of an unassuming master of the genre. Charlie's first act on stage is to settle on a stool and take his shoes off. an indication that the name of the game is relaxation with is special brand of easy going, mellow writing and performance. Even if you dislike country music, Charlie's 19 self-written songs here, of such very high quality as "What Colour Is The Wind", "Heaven Knows". "Part Of Me". "I Will Love You All My Life" and "Lily Of The Valley" are examples of the singer/songwriter's art at its most exquisite. The one borrowed item, a lovely version of "The Isle Of Innisfrce" is a nod ot his great popularity in Ireland. Sensitive small band provides just the right backing on a great concert, which he closes with the very personal, touching gospel song "My Forever Friend". A wonderfully creative, emotional artist and though many artists have queued up for his songs, no one puts them over like Charlie does.
