After the success (both musically and commercially) of their previous release, 'Wonder What's Next', it was always going to be difficult for Chevelle to produce their major label follow-up. From the opening four or five tracks it's fair to say they've cracked it, but then with no warning the album starts to take a turn for the worst and there's no turning back! Unlike their previous release, whose treasures are spread evenly throughout, all the best tracks are at the beginning and then it's almost like they're saying, "Come on now, there's nothing to see here!" The controversy/question surrounding their label as "Christian" still looms largely and is still unresolved. This was not helped by them describing themselves as "recovering Catholics". The most "Christian" song on the album is probably the opening track "The Clincher", which could be interpreted as their reflection on The Passion. But then most of the lyrics on the album are deeply cryptic and open to many differing interpretations. This album is much more about finding the lyrics to fit the tune rather than vice versa. More than ever before Chevelle have produced an album that is about the music, everything else is secondary. Other standout tracks are "Vitamin R" and my personal favourite, "Still Running", although I must say I preferred the version on the soundtrack to The Punisher, a favourite amongst the listeners to the Rock And Hard Place. Once again Chevelle have kept their unique sound and produced some real gems, but there are too many duds to go alongside them.

I really like This type of thinking could do us in] Its different from the last two but yet its still there syle.MY two favorites I would have to say is Panic prone and still running. But dont get me wrong I like them all.Because there songs are all edgy and has a fast but yet steady bet.And I belive that pet has an allsome voice. If you dont have this cd I would go get it right now.
