This recording includes the rarely heard short mass by Josef Rheinberger and is worth getting if only for that reason. The whole recording is rather fatally flawed for me though, because it is punctuated throughout by a lot of unnecessary machine-gun Ts and Ss. You can almost feel the spray of saliva - I'm glad I wasn't conducting! The three pieces by Edward Bairstow are executed well both by the choir and the organist Graham Eccles and were highlights for me.
