Chosen Generation is the brainchild of UK-based singer/songwriter and worship leader Evelyn Knight and contains 12 Knight-penned songs aimed at proclaiming God's goodness to believer and unbeliever alike. Whilst undeniably God-centred lyrically, the end result is unfortunately hampered by poor production values and substandard musical performances. For example, the needless inclusion of a painful wrong note in the intro of "Wish I Have Another Chance" and generally nervous and frequently out of tune deliveries from lead vocalists Jacob Osial, Emily Van Eker, Tuesday Abay and Jacqueline Liwanen do Knight's songs no favours whilst producer Ben Woodward's very basic mix makes for a dry and unbalanced listen. Although tracks such as "Now I Have Found You" and "Be Patient" certainly have the potential of being quality worship songs and the title track is a brave attempt at communicating a heavier message, this offering from Chosen Generation simply fails to make the grade.
