Veteran singer, songwriter and lead guitarist Chris Betts is part of The Connection based in the South West (of England). This is his third single containing two songs; "Dream Ticket" is heavily guitar-driven, using a Rickenbacker no less, with clever lyrics written around the Garden of Eden account in Genesis. The other track, "Dream Sailor", is gentler, more folk-based than the first track but still benefiting from Chris's immense talent in playing engaging rhythms, this time featuring acoustic guitar. The music does have a late '60s retro feel in both the playing and singing which is alright with me.
