Chris has quite definitely paid his dues. During the 70s he formed the duo Seed and subsequently he's gigged and recorded in a wide variety of guises. Maybe the Big Time hasn't quite beckoned but Chris clearly has a lot to offer, his particular strength being a lyrical line in songwriting propelled by a dazzling guitar technique. This compilation contains a cross section of Chris' songs and as the publicity blurb does the reviewer's job I'll quote from it: "There's something for everyone - from the funky 'Love Is', the Latin feel of Timeless', through the straight rock of 'No Easy Money', to the ever popular acoustic song 'Candledance' and the blues of 'Your Restless Heart'." lona's Mike Haughton guests on a couple of tracks and though Chris' mannered vocals won't appeal to every ear, this is a whole heap of talent here from one of British CCM's neglected journeymen.
