This is a collection of good songs by Chris and friends. There is a depth to the lyrics which is lacking in many other worship songs today. I did not however find the musical arrangements best suited to an album of worship songs. Most of the arrangements are in a jazz-tinged easy listening style. Though many worship songs are meant to be slow, the arrangements on this album do tend to make some of the songs a drag, especially the more repetitive tracks like "They That Wait Upon The Lord" and "Face To Face". Chris definitely has some excellent musical talent and no doubt could produce a good instrumental jazz album. I do not feel, however, that this style of arrangement helps lift one's soul up in praise to God. If you like slower arrangements and good music, then you may appreciate this album more than I do.
