There is no doubt whatsoever about the competency of Chris Bowater in leading large numbers of believers in worship; such has been demonstrated many times down the years and this live recording from Grapevine 2008 is merely more confirmation. Also not in doubt (but see more below) is his desire that the adoration and worship of Jesus be at the centre of everything, and that again is confirmed here by both the songs chosen for this collection (very few uses of the "I" word and lyrics pointing almost exclusively towards Jesus as Lord and Saviour) and his narrative as he leads. The CD is well produced by his son Dan and a very technically competent band is complimented by the Grapevine Worship choir (numbering 100+); the worshippers present apparently number around 5,000 (coincidentally?). There is a very strong and natural "live" feel to the nine tracks and 40 minutes that comprise the recording, with the song list consisting of a mixture of Bowater's own songs and those of others.
