Chris is the keyboard player for Phil Driscoll and this album is dedicated to presenting love songs suitable for Christians. This is not a new idea, love songs have featured on many Christian albums, and there have been a number of dedicated CDs, the best known probably being the excellent Steven Curtis Chapman's "About Love" (a cover of "I Will Be Here" from the Chapman album which is contained here).The problem with this CD is the musical pace is very slow, possibly to be romantic, but the joy/happiness side of a relationship appears to be missing, with the result that I, and I suspect other listeners, got bored with the proceedings. This is a shame as both Chris and his sister have great voices, sounding rather like BeBe & CeCe Winans. This is best shown on track two "This Is My Prayer" which is a beautifully written ballad with prayers from each partner. Regretfully track three "You're Here With Me" sounds musically almost identical. The addition of some largely sax-driven instrumentals, such as "Paradise" also seems a little pointless while the spoken "This Love, God's Blessing" is simply difficult to listen to after the second play.
