ChristCentral is a family of churches connected to New Frontiers, and this, their debut album, is made up of 11 new worship songs written by song leaders based in the Shropshire area. These songs represent the creativity and expression from the churches there, and based on this collection, the region has a lot of talent with experience within a number of genres! The opener "Our Redeemer", written and sung by Helen Allen, has a wonderful Celtic feel, helped by the mandolin played by Andy Franks, while "I Am Free (To Testify)", sung by Emily Chapple, develops into a gospel feel which is very engaging. Not all tracks on the collection are as successful at making an impact, but this does demonstrate that there is plenty of creativity in New Frontiers-linked churches away from the Brighton HQ.
