Christafari have, to my ears, been the best gospel act riding the riddems of reggae since they emerged on Gotee in 1995. Now this new set shows they've lost none of their gutsy authenticity, check out the opener "This Tribulation (Jump Up A Jungle Remix)." As it turns out that and the equally engaging "Call Pon Him" are the only Christafari tracks here, and for the rest it's their Friends at the vocal mic, being almost a Who's Who of gospel reggae with Jamaica's Stitchie, DJ Stereoman, Britain's Prodigal Son and Germany's Heaven Bound all in evidence. If you're into toasting style, ragamuffin or any other of Jamaica's invigorating subgenres, this is an essential purchase.
