Well, it's taken a long time, but at long last the powers that be are aware that Claire is a country/folk singer, not only in the Nanci Griffith style, but also in the great lady's class. A voice of Emmylou Harris sweetness that's captivated me since I heard her delightful vocals with the superb Front Porch String Band. Maybe you heard her own very fine gospel album, 1983's 'Friends For A Lifetime' which was highly rated by such as Billboard. The music's sorta mellow acoustic bluegrass, featuring such giants of the trade as Bela Fleck, David Grier, Randy Howard, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas and many more. "We Should Only Have Time For Love" deserves to be a huge hit and it's great to have a set of positive, cliche-free songs, with a decent set of values. "My Heart Is A Diamond" and "Children Of Abraham" will move you, just see if they don't. Overdue recognition of a fine artist who should certainly break through with this gem.
