Hard to categorise, this. Somewhere between Southern boogie and good ol' fashioned rock'n'roll, so a real mixed bag. Greensboro-based Clay starts off sounding like Elvis on "Harvest" except the King would never have settled for out of tune guitars. In fact, all the way through this EP, there's a general low-budget feel. Guitars sound on the edge of tuning, while the timing is loose. The songs aren't particularly inspiring either, but might be worth checking out if Southern music is your thing. Otherwise best avoided.

I own this CD and think the reviewer is totally WRONG! I love every song and think Clay and his band have great talent!
