Accompanied by a whole cast of famous music bods (not to mention one infamous Jabberwock in tow), both Clive Nolan (Casino/Arena) and Oliver Wakeman (son of Rick) have decided to set to music a witty tongue-in-cheek adaptation of the famous Jabberwocky nonsense poem by Lewis Carrol. Featuring Rick Wakeman as the narrator, Bob Cately (Hard Rain/ex Magnum) as the boy, Tracy Hitchings (Strangers On A Train) as the girl, Paul Allison as the tree and James Plumridge as the infamous monster, 'Jabberwocky' is more like a rock pantomime for those whose tastes lie in the AOR and progressive music camps. From the quirky "Coming To Town" to the phenomenal "The Mission", Clive and Oliver's latest project is packed full of superb musicianship, aptly portraying the mood and tone of the original poem in a novel and entertaining way. Complete with original artwork by Rodney Matthews, 'Jabberwocky' is a fine piece of work well worth exploring.
