In the modern worship arena that appears to be dominated by live, slick and sometimes over produced releases from megachurches, 'God Of All Ages' comes as a welcome change. Still slick, great vocals but stripped back, allowing for a peaceful and intimate listening experience from the worship team at the Compass Church in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. This project is led by pastor, singer and guitarist Paul Cooper, who is responsible for a lot of the writing on this nine track project. He is joined on this set by Jayne Hunt, Jessica Smith, Benjamin Maxwell and Trevor Michael. Billed as 'Songs Of Worship And Reflection', the opener "Hallelujah" is a beautiful introduction to the quality of the songs and the superb vocals here. The collection is musically driven mostly by keyboards/piano, examples of which include the congregation friendly "I'm Singing Praises Out" (of which there is also an instrumental version) and the engaging "Return To Your Rest". This is a welcome antidote to the over saturated live market and there is not a drum-kit in earshot!

An incredible collection of songs that will bring you closer to God for sure. Near perfect vocals, well thought out production allowing simplicity to still have variety. Plus the anointing of God flows out of every song. A great acoustic album.

Indispensable from my collection of worship CDs for sure. A Christ centred album of songs recorded with a really relaxed, acoustic feel and some beautifully crafted vocal lines and harmomies. A must have album to simply worship along to and get lost in.
