The Llangwm Male Voice Choir to you. Here's a well established mature choir with a sound that's smooth without ever sacrificing the customary fire and passion inherent in the genre. Special guest is Gaelic vocalist Mairi Macinnes from Scotland's South Uist island who contributes her own energetic brand of flair and panache. As usual from these sources the programme blends traditional and contemporary, sacred and secular. "Give Me That Old Time Religion" and "Every Time I Feel The Spirit" are given plenty of attack of course, "This Feeling Inside" is quite beautiful, as is the choir's sensitive, careful handling of "Let There Be Peace On Earth". Being a softy. I must confess to melting at "Some Enchanted Evening" and "An Eriskay Love Song". All well performed, even though the language may be unfamiliar, the beauty is intact.
