Rarely does a release from an unsigned group sound so solid and instantly grab the attention of the listener in the same way that 'A Time for Everything' does. Of course in some part it can be attributed to the stellar mixing by Paul Burton (Athlete, Snow Patrol, Delirious?) but is, as always, mostly due to the band's sound itself. The bold sound of this album can only be characterised as one of strong purpose. Purpose is one thing that Crossbeam have in abundance. This group tour from churches to pubs delivering the message in their energetic and varied style, to all manner of people, Christians and otherwise, but furthermore being of a variety of different denominations, they have a strong message of Christian harmony and unity. From the anthemic "Miracle Baby" at the start, to the almost meditational "Pass You By" at the close, the album, in much the same way as the band's component members, relates to the one unifying message in a variety of quite remarkable ways.

It's a great rating but the review doesn't 'review'. Nice comments about Christian harmony and unity but not much on the songs or the playing.
Nothing of the strong vocals, insane riffs, melodic beauty and great song-craft woven throughout this collection like a sonic tapestry full of colour and texture but ultimately telling a story also worth hearing.

That is all.
