The opening track "The Battle" is one of the best and most inventive holy hip-hop cuts I've heard. Using a set of raps which are half spoken, half sung, which uses a laconic warning not to be "drawn down to this fiery pit, where you can't even spit" but rather "get the Bible in your hands." Different from anything else out there this track alone will undoubtedly crop up in the months ahead on UCB Cross Rhythms. There are some other powerful R&B cuts here with John. Zack and Will (two whites and a black) emoting soulfully over some excellent productions by CCM veteran David W Huff. Definitely one worth writing off to the importers to get.
