This is a cheerful and infectious EP of familiar Christmas songs and R&B-based originals from a Californian singer. The opening track "It's A Celebrate" is indeed celebratory, setting a tone for the season, followed by the more mellow "Charlie Brown Medley" which features a beautiful take on "O Christmas Tree". "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" is one the best versions I've heard, with fine vocal work and a beat guaranteed to get some seasonal moves going. What Collins does with "O Holy Night" mightn't be to everyone's taste, and it's a tad too laid back, but I like it. Collins provides all the vocal work on the acapella "We Sing Glory" by Fred Hammond though I'm not sure why it's described as a "bonus track" - it's only the fifth song on an EP after all!
