Having written and originally recorded one of the most significant modern worship songs of recent years - "Like A Lion (God's Not Dead)", New Orleans-based Bashta now brings something different to the worship table. This free download five-song EP was presumably recorded in Bashta's front room and with little instrumentation the whole effect is carried by the vocals and quite often beautiful harmonies. It's clear that Daniel has quite a few Friends (so presumably quite a large living room) and at times this sounds almost like a choral album. The massed voices deliver a moving anthem of praise on the opener "Let It Be Jesus" while the seven minutes, 40 seconds long "Seas Of Crimson" conveys a mood of relaxed adoration. It has to be said though that there is little variation in mood, tempo and delivery throughout the songs here. What does come through is Bashta's commitment to worship the Lord in spirit and truth with voices which on occasions sound quite heavenly.
