This collection of 15 worship songs have been penned by Daniel Read over the past decade or so. Accompanied by a group of fellow-worshippers from St John's Church, Yeadon in Leeds, Read has put his songs together in album format. Recorded mainly in the church itself, or in the Reads house, this is essentially an acoustic venture, gentle guitar-based tunes with added flute, violin, keyboard and percussion. The songs are well crafted, with carefully arranged verse and chorus, and many tracks are directly Scripture-based. Lead vocals vary from song to song and there's some fine harmony vocals now and again. It's not a tight-fitting outfit though and group (and occasionally lead) vocals are at times a bit shaky. Overall, the music additionally has a rather dated feel, sounding a bit like old Songs Of Fellowship recordings.
