Mr Donnelly is a busy man! This CD is the first of two released in 2003 (the other being 'Solo Worship Vol 2'), in addition he toured with Kenny Loggins in the States, recorded with The Kry, leads worship each week and teaches music theory. Oh, he also has another project... a new rock record with a title 'Be Filled' in the pipeline! So what about this CD? Well, it feels as if I am eaves-dropping on a personal worship time between a man and his God- it is that intimate, filled with just under an hour of songs written by Mac Powell and Third Day ("Your Love Oh Lord"), Kate Miner and Judie Lawson ("Carry Me"), Matt Redman ("Let Everything That Has Breath Praise The Lord") and Keith Green ("O Lord You Are Beautiful") amongst others. There is also one self-penned song, "Sweet Jesus", which sits comfortably amongst such anointed songwriters. Recording was "live in David Miner's living room" (David is co-producer with Danny), with just a guitar on all tracks accept on a great version of Glenn Kaiser's "In The Light Of The Morning Star" which also has a harmonica! An excellent CD from an artist who clearly has much to share.
