Since his first album in 2004, Canadian-born, Germany-based Danny has produced albums of the highest quality. This latest set promises much as it opens with "Adonai" with a driving drumbeat, which immediately heads for the feet! Track two highlights Danny's talent in writing creative immediate songs, "This Side Of Heaven" being an example of the craft of songwriting at its finest: "This side of Heaven there is a hand that holds the demons at bay/This side of Heaven Jesus promises to bring a new day/This side of Heaven there's a hope that hate can never betray." "Show The Wonder" illustrates Danny the worship songwriter, "Breaking Silence" is driven with a Coldplay style beat, while "One Black Cloud" paints a landscape of sound which engulfs the listener demanding full attention. So yes, Mr Plett delivers once again, and with 17 tracks (including four German versions of songs on the album), the CD offers great value. Recommended.
