As someone who believes that all the Church's life on earth should be filtered through our Jesus-given task to do the one thing we can't do in Heaven - mission - I came to this book about something we can do in Heaven, only much better, with some reserve. Having recently slogged through the brilliant but brain-hurting Colossians: Remixed, my first comment that this volume is light in several ways - not many pages and not very deep - should not be taken as a criticism (it was a welcome relief!) There is a place for simple, concise teaching and Dave has a relaxed and accessible writing style and a good way with a story to illustrate what he is saying. As an excellent and well-travelled (I lost count of the countries mentioned) sung-worship leader, his experience and wisdom shine through in a number of clear teaching points. I would have liked to have seen a sharper definition of "worship" - often the implication is that it is equivalent to "singing" - though on occasions he does talk about it in a much wider sense and how worship can give us a bigger vision of God that will effect how we live our daily lives and interact with people.
