My neighbours think I'm nuts and it's all Bilbrough's and Townend's fault. I was drying dishes when the first track of this CD boogied through the kitchen and it demanded a fair amount of dancing about and fists being punched in the air to appreciate it properly. It's not strictly as 'together' as the title suggests, because it's two separate live shows, with only fiddler Nick Haigh on both dates (and making his presence felt at both!) but the main thing is that if you believe God invented rhythm because he wanted hands clapped and voices raised, you'll be very happy with this. And yet, more of the 12 tracks are slow than fast - the album just feels clappable throughout. Each man has an absolute standout: Stuart Townend's "First Love" is a stormer, and Dave Bilbrough's "Our God Is Great" is a masterpiece of the art of the simple chorus. Oh, and my broken dinner plate is down to Mr Bilbrough, who really should know better than to launch into a hoedown like "Undignified" at an hour when civilised people are likely to be doing the washing up.
