Any album which carries the legend "A Mass In The Revised Roman Ritual" threatens lo make difficult listening for this reviewer. On the other hand, a life long love of jazz makes any record with Dave Brubeck's name on the cover intriguing. Brubeck. besides being a jazz legend, is a Christian believer but has in recent years made his home in the Catholic Church. He has a daughter who is a believer also and is evangelical in belief. Consequently this album contains nothing lyrically which is not profoundly biblical and nothing that would make an evangelical wince. If choral music or jazz is your interest and leads you to God then this will meet your taste. Some of these pieces (I know nothing about choral music) are quite beautiful, others are more obscure to my tastes. The jazz interludes are as imaginative as you would expect from someone of this stature.
