During his time as Vicar ot the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, David Adam has welcomed over one million adults and children.

The pilgrims that visited Holy Island reflected every mood and attitude to life. Some radiated a presence others were too busy to stop. Many were collectors of holy places as some would collect stamps! There were those who seemed awestruck at what was around them, and those who closeted themselves away and hardly even saw the island. All have something to teach us. And as we are drawn into the joys and challenges of these individual journeys, we may find ourselves reflecting on richer ways of continuing our own.
