David is the passionate worship leader from Cheltenham you no doubt read about recently on the CR website. This is David's third CD with a sound that stays fairly close to the pop rock of people like Tim Hughes and Matt Redman but also manages to introduce some unexpected elements like country guitar riffs on the first track "Imago Dei". "The Way You Father Me" starts with a distorted guitar riff and is then joined by the rest of the band as the song surges into a relaxing verse and memorable chorus ("Wonderful, intimate, beautiful, God of love"). "Thank You" is faster and has a slight groove feeling mixed in with the chorus. This is an album for anyone who wants to engage with God and is every bit the equal of most of the record label worship releases.
