David is a music professor at Trebnje primary music school in Slovenia and, as demonstrated here, is a pretty fine saxophone player as well. Here we have 10 tracks with backing from instruments such as the piano of well known worship songs like "As The Deer" and spirituals like "Nobody Knows". The quality of musicianship is absolutely magnificent, an example being "Don't You Know It's Time" which is simply beautiful. The danger with instrumental versions of worship songs is that they can be so much Christian muzak. But such labelling would be totally unjustified here. What this most gifted saxophonist has produced is a collection that will stand the test of time and is a welcome alternative to the many other instrumental worship recordings available in the Christian marketplace.
