Scottish singer/songwriter and producer David Lyon regularly facilitates recordings for other artists so it's always heartening to see him take some time to work on a solo project for a change. As always with the help of Foundry Music Lab duo of Graeme Duffin and Sandy Jones, Lyon teams up with his singer/songwriter wife Yvonne to offer up a collection of self-penned numbers that quietly tell of God's everlasting love. A couple of tracks have appeared in different guises on previous projects (namely "I Will Hope" and "Beloved And Friend") but they're such good songs that they deserve further exposure whilst newer tracks like "The God Of Peace Is Strong" see Lyon continue to move forward artistically. Yvonne takes on the lead vocal duties on a handful of tracks including the thought-provoking title track - arguably this release's highlight - and her husband's honest and sincere vocal delivery perfectly suits quieter, more hymn-like pieces such as "Lord Of This Hurried Heart" and "As We Follow You".
