This solo debut of a member of the Gaither Vocal Band was produced by Phil Naish, who has also produced for Steven Curtis Chapman. ( I've been given a "special sneak preview" copy of this album, with 11 tracks but I believe the actual release may be 10 songs with a different order). David has a superstar voice and some of his writing tells contemporary spiritual/gospel stories rather like Don Francisco does Bible stories. An example of this is "The End Of The Beginning", which has enhanced meaning since the events of 11.9.01. Arrangements are spectacular, akin to those for a movie theme or stage musical and, as you might expect, vocal support adds to the impact of the songs. Not what I usually listen to and it took a little hearing to grow on me but this is an album which could become a classic with David's exposure in the US.

Oh, I do agree: This was my first album of David's to
purchase, and this happened last year. Now, I have almost
everything David has done alone, and many that he sang with
the Gaither bunch. No matter his weight or hair style, his
message is clear to me. I first heard him on a few
Homecoming DVDs of my neighbor's, just bits and pieces, and
then No More Night on "Heaven." This was when I bought this
DVD, and why I bought it, for No More Night and The End of
the Beginning, which source I had found on the Internet.
(David had a good home page.)
I responded to these, because it is the least I can do.
God only knows the joy I have received with my rather late
discovery of such talent and praise to God.
