Dawn Cozma comes from an Italian Irish background and has been performing in rock, pop and folk bands since the age of 13. However, recently she has begun to write her own material with a keen sense of musical and artistic direction. Dawn's emotive expression is deeply personal and without compromise. This can be found in this collection along with British guitar virtuoso Jason Carter who himself has enjoyed a colourful career as a solo artist. This album has been influenced by singers from the '60s and 70s such as Joan Baez and Celtic bands such as Clannad. Several of the songs are a reflection of Dawn's experiences in Romania where she lived and worked liked "All Those Fearful Years" and the track "1940" which talks about a mother's grief over her son. Other interesting tracks are "Always" and "You Are My Life". In CCM circles Dawn and Jason may not be well known. But give them time, they soon will be.
